Jon Baribeau's gateway instrument was the alto saxophone in elementary school.
The band he began playing with at the age of twelve went by many names, but the
most popular was Mouthful. Higher education was sought at New York University, prior to
a Colorado migration to reunite with former Mouthful bandmates. Additional Colorado acts Baribeau found himself involved with included the Renders, the Rumpus and the Kind. Baribeau's self-titled debut album (produced by Lance Bendiksen) features guest performances from a plethora of Colorado's best session players including
Nina Storey and Christian Teele.
