Chandiss
The virginity of commercial radio will never ever forget being touched for the very first time by the not so virgin-like Madonna in 1984. Nearly two decades later, the 007-inspired “Die Another Day” has finally earned the undisputed queen of pop more number one singles than the Beatles and another surnameless sexpot named Chandiss has her sights set on the top of the charts. Who the hell is Chandiss? Chandiss is an eighteen year-old recording artist who has been exercising the extraordinary potential of her vocal chords since the age of four. Inspired by Madonna, Chandiss axed her family surname at the county courthouse when she was sixteen. Two years later, she is writing her third record with producer Lance Bendiksen of Denver-based Bendiksen Productions in hot pursuit of a major label recording contract. Little does the world know, Chandiss has the pipes to pull it off. For evidence, look no further than “Let her Go,” the title track and first single from her debut disc.
Where can you witness the diva-to-be in action? Chandiss has performed at numerous venues in Grand Lake, Colorado (Poncho & Lefty’s, Larriett, Grumpy’s and Big Ray’s Chophouse), the Colorado Springs City Auditorium, Denver's Gothic Theatre, the Fillmore Auditorium, Sanctuary (also known as Butterfly), the Sherman Street Events Complex, Rise and the world-famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre near Morrison. She has been featured in Go-Go Magazine, the Westword and e-gen (electronic generation). And that’s only the beginning. Superstardom might seem like a light year away from here, but keep your eyes peeled…Chandiss’ lungs have more than enough wind to carry her anywhere she wants to go.
